Take a moment please. Once more

A common misconception about nonviolent action is that is necessarily focused on touching the heart of the opponent leading to a conversion in fact the impact of sacrifice can have little to do with changing the views of one’s adversaries–and much more to do with affecting one’s friends. When people decide to risk their safety or to face arrest, their decisions have the effect of mobilizing the communities closest to them.
